JOB DESCRIPTION:
PSC Administration is seeking an experienced and highly organized professional for a dual-role position as a Mortgage Administrator and Investment Operations Specialist. This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of two years of experience working in an Ontario based MIC (Mortgage Investment Corporation) or Mortgage Investment Entity (MIE) and a strong understanding of both the administrative and investment sides of MIC/MIE operations. In this work-from-home position, you will primarily oversee the administrative aspects of servicing mortgages as well as managing the operations of the investment side of the business, including dividends, redemptions, and investor communications.
This role requires a self-motivated individual based in central Toronto who can work remotely, with occasional in-person meetings or visits to the office as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Mortgage Administration:
- Manage and organize incoming mortgage loan documentation, including uploading to the mortgage system (Mortgage Automator), instructing solicitors and managing the pipeline of fundings.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies throughout the mortgage process.
- Act as the point of contact for external Brokers and clients, providing updates, handling inquiries, and maintaining clear communication throughout the mortgage process.
- Manage the post-funding servicing of the mortgage portfolio including managing loan payments processes, addressing borrower inquiries, handling mortgage renewals, amendments, early delinquency and discharges.
Investment Operations:
- Manage investor relations by handling dividends, redemptions, and timely distribution of investor returns, while tracking interest accruals and ensuring accurate calculations for these payments.
- Prepare and provide investors with detailed performance reports on their investments, including dividend schedules and portfolio performance.
- Handle requests for redemptions and ensure all transactions are completed efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for both mortgage administration and investment transactions, ensuring timely and organized reporting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a MIC/MIE in Ontario (required).
- Strong knowledge of MIC/MIE investment processes, including managing dividends, redemptions, and compliance.
- Proficiency in mortgage-related software (Mortgage Automator system preferred), Investor databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage relationships with clients and investors.
- Must be based in Toronto Central for occasional in-person meetings or work sessions as required.
