Responsibilities As a Mortgage Advisor, a typical day might include the following: Conduct mortgage application interviews of applicants generated through established contacts: SEGs, Direct Requests, Payoff Requests, Expired Applications, FORUM Marketing Events, and Outside Referral Sources etc. Develop contacts in the real estate industry and other outside sources to produce additional mortgage loans by performing pre-approvals and providing borrower education. Ensure all client contact, disclosures, and client involvement are done in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Develop proficiency in lending guidelines for all investors and correspondent relationships with FORUM Mortgage and keep informed of the changes in the mortgage industry. Ensure a smooth and timely mortgage process and closing by: Pre-qualifying applicants. Counseling customers on the mortgage products and the process. Submitting borrower files to Underwriting for Pre-Approval Obtaining all necessary documents and information. Keeping all involved parties up-to-date on the status of the loan. Qualifications What we are looking for: College degree or equivalent work experience Sales and/or financial industry experience required, mortgage loan training provided Must be able to obtain NMLS # and meet all State and Federal requirements.
