POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

BROAD KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Mortgage banking industry, familiar with Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage products. Clear understanding of the current RESPA laws and guidelines. . Detailed knowledge of processing, underwriting and closing procedures.

ABOVE AVERAGE SKILLS

Organization, Language skills, High degree of functional knowledge in subject matter and ability to communicate that expertise to all organizational levels.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE

Positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic

YEARS’ EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years underwriting experience

Responsibilities
  1. Operate the “Q&A” desk to provide product and guideline support to the Sales and Operations staff company-wide. Support Sales and Operations by fielding questions regarding mortgage products, investor and company guidelines to facilitate originations, file structure file flow. Work the helpdesk by providing continuous support to the organization.
  2. Keep abreast of latest updates in company, regulatory and investor guidelines. Maintain working knowledge of all current Underwriting guidelines, federal and state lending laws, and have the ability to comprehensively explain to others within and outside the organization.
  3. Effectively provide excellent customer service and professionalism at a high level to internal and external customers. Actively participate in ongoing efforts to continually improve customer service for internal and external customers.
