WE ARE SEEKING A MOTIVATED AND EXPERIENCED MORTGAGE LENDER II TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN ROCKFORD, IL. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE A STRONG BACKGROUND IN MORTGAGE LENDING, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, AND THE ABILITY TO MANAGE THE LOAN PROCESS FROM APPLICATION TO CLOSING EFFICIENTLY. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Originate and process mortgage loan applications in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. * Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and financial status to determine loan eligibility. * Provide expert guidance to clients on mortgage products, rates, and terms to help them make informed decisions. * Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate loan closings. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, market trends, and regulatory changes. * Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources. * Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory standards. * Meet or exceed monthly and annual loan production goals. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Active and valid Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license. * Minimum of 2 years experience in mortgage lending or related financial services. * Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and loan processing procedures. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach. * Ability to analyze financial information and credit reports effectively. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. * Proficient with mortgage software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. EDUCATION * High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
