Lending Adviser / Mortgage Broker

We are looking for an experienced Lending Adviser / Mortgage Broker to join our in-house Lending team. You will manage clients from initial discovery through to settlement and beyond, provide strategic credit advice, and build trusted long-term relationships. You will also work closely with our accounting and wealth teams to deliver integrated advice and identify opportunities to help clients achieve their goals.

What you’ll do

  • Build trusted client relationships and provide tailored lending advice aligned with each client’s goals and best interests
  • Manage the end-to-end lending journey, from discovery and strategy through application, approval, settlement and ongoing review with team support
  • Assess clients’ financial positions, borrowing capacity and credit requirements across residential, investment, refinancing and other lending scenarios
  • Research and compare lender products, policies and structures to develop appropriate recommendations
  • Prepare high-quality loan submissions, verify supporting documents and proactively manage applications with lenders
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with clients and stakeholders, including lenders, conveyancers, valuers and settlement agents
  • Deliver an excellent client experience by setting expectations, resolving issues and keeping files progressing to agreed timeframes
  • Develop referral opportunities and collaborate with Altus accounting and wealth advisers to support existing and prospective clients
  • Remain current on lender policies, products, market conditions and industry developments
  • Meet all regulatory and compliance obligations, including responsible lending requirements, the NCCP Act and Best Interests Duty
  • Contribute to team initiatives, continuous improvement and the broader growth of the Altus business
