Description Navigator Credit Union is looking for a full-time Mortgage Loan Coordinator. ROLE Coordinating the loan process by conducting Final Quality Control including, scanning documents, stacking and organizing final loan file and insuring the file is properly filed in the vault. Maintains filing systems, office supplies and equipment. Works with Mortgage Servicing Specialist to assist with Cancelations. Answers all incoming phone calls into the mortgage center as well as incoming emails and faxes. Will back up processors with any task assigned as needed. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conducts Final Quality Control which consists of Scanning documents into Optical and Radstar, stacking final documents, labeling loan files and filing in mortgage vault. Maintains office equipment and general office supplies, etc. Promptly and professionally answers incoming phone calls to mortgage department. Handles and responds to incoming voice mail and emails, assigns faxes and handles internal mail documents. Assists Mortgage Servicing Specialist in getting PIF and Cancelations processed including lien releases for paid in full Mortgagee and HELOC Loans. Helps processors with any over flow as needed to include making sure all documents have been received prior to submission to underwriting. Verifying income according to pay stubs and income calculation worksheet provided by LO. Orders Written VOE’s and Final Insurance as per request. Assists processors with Underwriting Conditions when file comes back from initial underwriting. EDUCATION: · High school degree or GED required. Additional on the job training courses may be required. SPECIFIC SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: · Above average communication skills both oral and written. · Proven ability to problem solve and manage several tasks and deadlines. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Proven ability to meet individual production expectations. ADA: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of local travel as a driver and travel by commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. WORKING CONDITIONS: · Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: · Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively alone or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of member service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
