Description The Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for the growth and development of the mortgage program at Bangor Federal Credit Union. This person will be responsible for guiding borrowers through the mortgage application process, from qualification to closing. The MLO will maintain correspondence with borrowers, processors and realtors to ensure a smooth and successful loan closing. Requirements 2-5 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Loan Originator or similar role. Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting processes and lending regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-orientated with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with measurable results. NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) certification required or the ability to obtain after hire. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Travel amongst Bangor Federal's locations will be required.
