Position Summary This position is critical to the mortgage loan process as it involves successfully moving an application from open to close with a sense of urgency. One of the main responsibilities is preparing clean files for submission to Underwriting by gathering and reviewing documentation from members in a professional and efficient manner. This position has a strong emphasis on customer service quality that is required to guarantee success. Essential Functions & Primary Responsibilities Collect all required documentation for the loan package for Underwriting Review files to determine if additional documentation needs to be requested from the member Provide our members with a superior level of customer service Must quickly and accurately answer all member inquiries in a professional manner Analyze all documents submitted by members before providing to Underwriter Order survey/appraisals, order title, verification of employment, verification of deposit, verification of mortgage, etc. Obtain documents to satisfy all conditions when reviewed by Underwriting Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls, and should request legal interpretation as necessary. Must ensure subordinates are also compliant with such laws and regulations. Must be bondable. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education & Qualifications High School graduation and or equivalency 1-3 years of processing of loan experience. Real estate loan processing preferred This position requires an understanding of basic computer skills including m365 suites. Skills and Abilities Minimum of 2 years of high level member service experience required Experience with Encompass, a plus! Experience of mortgage process and documentation required, a plus! Presents a positive and professional image to members through effective and courteous verbal and written communications. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Ability to apply logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, attention to details and draw conclusions. Ability to be mindfully flexible and willing to go with the flow. Ability to deal with difficult concepts and complex variables.
