The Mortgage Professional is responsible for generating new mortgage business, building strong relationships within the real estate and local communities, and guiding borrowers through the mortgage process from application to closing. This role is ideal for a motivated, sales-driven professional who values community engagement and customer service. Key Responsibilities Develop new mortgage loan opportunities through relationships with realtors, builders, and customers. Meet annual production goals (approximately $12 million in yearly sales). Participate in community events, housing seminars, and realtor open houses. Interview loan applicants and explain mortgage options (government, conventional, and non-conventional). Complete loan applications, disclosures, and submit clean files to underwriting. Coordinate with borrowers, processors, underwriters, attorneys, and real estate professionals to ensure timely closings. Maintain post-closing customer relationships to support future business. Provide qualified referrals to the Retail Line of Business, the Commercial Line of Business, Wealth Management and Trust, as well as Bearing Insurance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience Minimum of two years’ experience in mortgage lending, banking, or related field Strong sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills Be a self-starter with minimal management oversight Excellent communication and organizational abilities Effective organizational and time management skills Proficiency with business software applications (Salesforce and/or Encompass experience a plus) Ability to travel as needed, including occasional overnight travel Ideal Candidate Highly motivated and goal-oriented Community-oriented and relationship-driven Team player with a strong work ethic *The salary range is based on market data associated with the position and where the pay rate falls within the range is commensurate with experience, education, and other qualifications.
