MORTGAGE SALES MANAGER

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of mortgage lending experience with experience in secondary market placement
  • Minimum 3 years working in a supervisory or management capacity

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven success managing a team of Mortgage Loan Officers and executing sales goals
  • Passion for creating and maintaining solid working relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a high level of multi-tasking
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Excellent and effective communication skills with a high degree of professionalism
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to maintain confidential or sensitive information
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of mortgage loan processes, regulations and products
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with relators, builders, developers, and other partners to generate new business opportunities
  • Ensure all mortgage loan origination activities adhere to regulatory guidelines and GECU policies and procedures
  • Monitor trends and developments within the market to identify opportunities and adjust strategic plans accordingly
  • Drive performance management by setting individual and team goals, tracking progress, providing feedback, and coaching team members to ensure continued development
  • Foster collaboration, trust, and accountability among department team members
  • Stay up to date on all mortgage products, programs, and underwriting guidelines, as well as GECU’s loan products, to effectively advise members
  • Work to enhance and sustain an effective organizational culture by building positive, collaborative, and functional relationships amongst peers and leaders to drive Credit Union initiatives and programs
