KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Effective management and leadership abilities; excellent communication skills, listening, verbal, and written; strong computer skills; good marketing skills with the ability to develop rapport/relationships in the community; an excellent eye for detail; high productivity skills; 10-key calculator.
Physical Requirements: Some lifting is required (up to 30 pounds), as continuous sitting, occasional standing, and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using the computer. Continuous talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more. Must be capable of operating a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Oregon Driver’s license.
Work Environment: This job is exempt and requires flexibility in scheduling tasks and projects. The employee must independently monitor hours and judge the time needed to be spent on applicable duties. Employee must be capable of adjusting to unpredictable schedules proactively. As a direct representative of the credit union, the employee must conduct and present themselves courteously and professionally. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Travel to all credit union regions may be required. Base Pay plus incentives available.

ROLE:
Manages and directs loan production for Rogue Credit Union’s first mortgage and home equity programs (Residential Loan Advisors) by providing strategic and tactical leadership to help obtain department production and market share goals. Partners with other Department and Credit Union Leaders seeking to create exceptional member experiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
45% Develops, implements, measures, and maintains business development and marketing strategies to increase mortgage and home equity production by creating exceptional member experiences and serving our communities. Measurement and maintenance should be through valuable KPIs that can be reported monthly. Maintains overall Realtor and Builder connections, constantly seeking to add more mutually beneficial relationships.
25% Develops, coaches, and trains Team Leads to establish consistency and accountability within their teams. Assists Team Leads with member-focused resolutions to elevated issues. Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends and changes, including laws and regulations, by developing industry relationships. Provides quarterly competitive market analysis to the VP of Mortgage Services. Completes weekly/monthly reports as assigned by management.
15% Consistently recruits, production staff that demonstrate they can be team players and fit the culture of the credit union. Identifies and helps coach existing team members to attain a higher level of performance.
5% Partners with cross-functional Managers to improve service delivery, including marketing and mortgage operation. Assists with the development of product that best serves our membership in both mortgage and home equity.
5% Interviews loan applicants in person or by telephone and explains loan options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements. Promotes a sales culture by cross-selling credit union products and services to meet each member’s needs.
5% Proactively performs other related duties as assigned.
