Description Position Title: Mortgage Specialist Reports To: VP- Mortgage Basic Function: Under the direction of the VP-Mortgage, performs a variety of functions within the department. Serves as the float to assist or back-up real estate team members. Responsibilities: Provide assistance within all areas in the Mortgage Department and ensure segregation of duties, such as: Loan Boarding Payoff Requests Escrow Processing Discharges/Collateral releases General Ledger account posting and corrections Customer Serving and Correspondence Account Research File maintenance Scans documents and files as needed. Back-up to Mortgage Administrative Assistant when needed. Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: One or more years of experience with a financial institution or a customer service-related position. Mortgage experience preferred. High School diploma or the equivalent. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple functions within strict deadlines. Must be a team player and detail oriented. Proficient with personal computer, basic office equipment, and Microsoft office. Outgoing personality, knowledge of proper grammar usage. Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always. Must always maintain a neat and professional appearance. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include the ability to operate normal office equipment and some lifting, not to exceed 25 pounds.
