Mortgage Underwriter – Residential & Buy-to-Let

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Mortgage Underwriter with experience in Residential and Buy-to-Let (BTL) mortgages to manage end-to-end application processing and make informed lending decisions in line with lending policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and underwrite Residential and BTL mortgage applications.
Review income, affordability, credit history, financial documents, and property information.
Make approve, decline, or refer lending decisions within delegated authority.
Identify risks, discrepancies, and missing information.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with lending criteria.
Work with brokers, advisers, and internal teams to progress applications.
Manage cases within agreed SLAs and quality standards.

Systems: MQuBE & Salesforce — training will be provided.
