Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for operational excellence? We are seeking an exceptional Operations Manager to oversee our Mortuaries & Care Centres, ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Operations Manager for Mortuaries, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of our mortuary and Care Centre services. This pivotal role requires strong operational oversight, effective leadership, and a deep sense of empathy when engaging with staff, clients, and key stakeholders. You will ensure that every family and client receives the dignified support they deserve, while upholding our commitment to best practices and compliance.

  • Demonstrated experience in operations management, preferably within mortuary, healthcare, or a related setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Empathy and professionalism in sensitive environments.
  • Ability to manage complex schedules and regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staff development.
  • Strong organisation skills, focus and drive.
  • Ideally educated to degree level, but other relevant qualifications will be considered.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily activities of 3 mortuary/Care Centre sites to guarantee the seamless delivery of services, ensuring respectful and compliant care, adhering to legal, ethical, and cultural guidelines.
  • Recruit, train, organise and supervise mortuary and Care Centre staff.
  • Build and sustain relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders, acting as the principal contact for the day-to-day management of commercial contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and revenue generation.
  • Driving between sites is necessary for the role, so having a valid license is essential
  • Collaborate as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team to achieve operational excellence across the company.
