Description
The candidate will play a critical role in the development of in-house server motherboards and systems, working collaboratively with internal cross-functional engineering teams as well as external partners to ensure robust product design. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to excellence—focused on delivering highly competitive, reliable, and durable products. Qualifications: MSEE (CE) with 5+ years or BSEE with 7+ years of hardware design experience Experience: 5-10 years Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end hardware development projects from initial concept through mass production. Design and develop server motherboards and systems, including schematic capture and component selection and manage BOMs (Bill of Material). Drive system-level design for data center and IT infrastructure products, considering architecture, mechanical, power, and thermal aspects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, software, mechanical, validation, manufacturing) to ensure successful product integration and delivery. Work closely with ODMs, suppliers, and external partners to manage hardware design and manufacturing processes. Define and execute hardware validation strategies, including bring-up, debugging, and system-level testing. Review and ensure compliance with electrical, thermal, and mechanical design requirements. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of hardware issues throughout the product lifecycle. Contribute to the development of functional specifications, test plans, and verification procedures. Support DVT (Design Verification Testing) and PVT (Production Validation Testing) phases to ensure product readiness for volume manufacturing. Maintain documentation of hardware design, changes, and validation results for cross-team reference. Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance product performance and competitiveness Preferred Skills: Expertise in server motherboard design, CPU interfaces (Intel/AMD), DDR memory subsystems, power delivery, and high-speed digital circuits. Proficient with PCB and simulation tools (Altium, Cadence, SI/PI/Thermal analysis). Skilled in functional specs development, design verification, and testing. Strong root cause analysis at board and system level. Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes and diagnostic tools. Solid grasp of x86 server architecture, form factors (1U/2U/blade), and datacenter infrastructure. Knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, virtualization, and cloud computing. Familiar with BMC, IPMI, Redfish, and industry standards (JEDEC, PCI-SIG, USB-IF, SATA). Experience leading ODMs and suppliers through design and manufacturing cycles. Background in high-volume manufacturing and supply chain processes. Strong written and verbal communication; team-oriented and self-driven.
