Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Mid-Senior Motion Graphic Designer who has expertise in creating compelling visual content and animations to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality motion graphics and animations for various media platforms, including social media marketing ads across all platforms. Video Editor skills are a big plus! Ideally, you are equally confident cutting together footage and bringing a narrative to life. A big part of the role will be from a paid social media perspective, and you’ll take the lead in crafting standout social media content for Midnite. You’ll be responsible for producing engaging videos and stills across key platforms like Instagram, Snap and YouTube, ensuring everything is optimised, on-brand, and tailored to each audience.

We believe we can take our brand into a new era of betting, so we’re seeking a bold, creative thinker with a proven track record in:

  • Video editing
  • Social content management
  • Copywriting
  • Leveraging social media best practices

We want you to take ownership from conceptualisation to delivery, and liaise with our Art Director to understand how we can set the social content bar high. You’ll produce compelling video assets for various channels, including web, email, social and print, across various teams. You’ll play an essential part in the development of all Midnite’s visual elements. Using your expertise, you’ll maintain a coherent, consistent and dynamic design approach, considering 3D design, type, image and layout across all channels to elevate and communicate our brand identity. We have exciting ambitions, and being the first Motion and 3D hire of the team, you’ll be key in setting the standard. You’ll work across various growth channels and liaise with the wider design team to collaborate. You should be comfortable following creative direction and building upon ideas whilst suggesting ways your trade can enhance our marketing creative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create best-in-class motion for brand identities, campaigns and animation projects, able to comfortably work on both 2D and 3D animation builds.
  • Edit short form for video-led projects and cut mood films for pitches and internal work when required.
  • Collaborate with the wider creative and design teams to develop concepts and treatments and produce storyboards.
  • Keep up to date with the latest motion and design with a keen eye on social trends.
  • Act as a line manager to motion designers in the team. Assisting them with their personal development, making sure they possess and develop the necessary skills, tools and processes to succeed in their roles.
  • Confidently work across multiple motion projects on different timescales.
  • Have responsibility over your workloads, managing your time effectively and delivering on time and within budget.
  • Give direction and provide feedback when working with external talents on motion projects.
  • You will report to the Art Director and, where needed, support in the running and leading of certain motion projects.
  • Contribute to project scopes and estimates, where required.
