Description

Overview:
The Lifeway Media team is seeking a remote Motion Graphic Designer. The Motion Graphic Designer develops and creates animated content and elements that enhance how Lifeway communicates across a wide range of ministry areas—including marketing campaigns, curriculum, camps, live events, and internal initiatives.
This role designs motion graphics, bumpers, standard opens, lower thirds, and templates that uphold brand consistency, support storytelling, and deliver trustworthy experiences. The Motion Graphic Designer collaborates closely with Video Editors and cross-functional teams to deliver purposeful, engaging motion assets tailored to each audience and platform.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma required
Bachelor’s degree preferred not required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES, REQUIRED

  • Live out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
  • 5+ years motion graphic design
  • Skilled in motion graphic design and animation for video, social, and digital platforms
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Strong visual storytelling and design sense with attention to timing and pacing
  • Creative problem-solver with an eye for innovation and trends in motion design
  • Effective collaborator and communicator across cross-functional teams
  • Organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
    Actively involved in a local Christian church

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCES, PREFERRED

  • Experience in Maya, 3D, and Cinema 4D
Responsibilities
  • Design and animate custom motion graphics for videos, bumpers, explainers, social content, and internal communications.
  • Develop reusable templates, toolkits, and lower thirds that align with Lifeway’s brand guidelines and can be used across multiple projects.
  • Create and/or translate storyboards, concept frames, and design frames to visualize motion sequences and support creative direction.
  • Ensure visual consistency, timing, and pacing in animations to enhance audience engagement.
  • Export and deliver motion graphics in the appropriate formats for seamless integration into video projects, ensuring compatibility with editing software and platform requirements.
  • Collaborate with Video Editors and project stakeholders to ensure motion assets meet technical and creative needs.
  • Maintain organized files, version control, and documentation for reusability across teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by exploring new tools, trends, and creative techniques in motion graphic design
