At the heart and soul of London since 1895 West Ham United is a dynamic, fan-focused football Club constantly moving forward but always with an eye on the past.
Our home at the London Stadium has a capacity of 62,500 making it one of the biggest club Stadia in the country however our tickets are the lowest priced for London based clubs in the Premier League, echoing objectives to create Affordable Family Football.
In 2018, our Women’s team gained a professional status for the very first time, jumping 2 divisions and competed in the Women’s Super League (WSL), the premier division of women’s football in England. After finishing a respectable 7th, the team enjoyed particular success in the FA Cup reaching the final of the competition, eventually being beaten by 2017 winners Manchester City.
In April 2019, we opened our brand-new Academy facility based at Chadwell Heath which will help to bring through some of the very best talents in the area, the recent emergence of First Team Players Declan Rice and Ben Johnson are a testament to the work already being done at the Academy.
On the business side, we are continuing to create a Stadium our supporters can call home, with the renaming of the Billy Bonds Stand and Claret and Blue pitch surrounding amongst the latest developments. Additionally, the Club has achieved the Disability Confident Leader status.

In October 2023, West Ham United was awarded the Advanced level of the Premier League Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard, recognising the Club’s ongoing dedication and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Moderate to intermediate experience of using of graphical overlay tools such as after effects to create inspiring and interesting visual content.
  • Experience in similar position within a sporting environment.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Advanced skills in the Adobe Suite with a exceptional ability across Premiere, After Effects and Illustrator, with skills in Cinema 4D a bonus.
  • Strong knowledge of current digital trends with an understanding of the role of video and graphics across all social media and digital platforms.
  • Advanced video editing skills including a clear understanding of audio and colour correction.
  • A strong track record of producing impactful, narrative-driven content.
  • An understanding of communicating the West Ham brand in an engaging visual style.
  • Positive individual who is confident pitching ideas as part of the wider content team.
  • A comprehensive showreel of previous work.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overseeing/creating motion graphics across Club’s digital channels in line with brand guidelines.
  • Work alongside the video, social and graphics production teams, creating content from conception, storyboarding and planning through to final production.
  • Play an important role in introducing new and fresh visual concepts to enhance the production values of the Club’s output.
  • Creating standalone graphical content for our social channels.
  • Working closely with the club’s existing video and design department and supporting on B2B content when necessary.
  • Work with the commercial team in particular, from the planning of video and graphics content through to production, as well as the designing of static and motion graphics for West Ham’s official partners.
  • Work alongside senior video team members in shaping the Club’s matchday big-screen schedule and content, for both London Stadium’s internal and external screens.
  • Oversee motion work executed by partner agencies and our freelance network.
  • Assist in any other tasks as instructed by the Head of Digital and Content Lead.
