Your Role The primary purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality assessment and management of motor claims for luxury vehicles, ensuring accurate and effective investigation, evaluation, and adjustment. This position leverages hands-on experience with high-end vehicles, a strong understanding of repair methods, and knowledge of associated costs. The specialist may conduct onsite assessments and will collaborate with industry partners to deliver best-in-class outcomes. Reporting to the Senior Technical Claims Lead, this role is critical to maintaining high standards in claims management within the luxury motor segment. It is ideal for an experienced claims or motor professional seeking to broaden their expertise and gain exposure to wider aspects of the claims business beyond portfolio management. Additionally, the role requires a commitment to supporting the growth and development of team members by leading by example and serving as a mentor within the motor field. Your Responsibilities: * Assessing motor insurance claims for luxury vehicles via desktop and physical inspections, as required. * Analyse complex scenarios and recommend fair and timely solutions * Applying expertise in repair methods, parts, and costs, to evaluate claim validity, extent of damage and negotiate repair costs and methods * Liaising with Repair Shops, Motor Assessors and Industry Experts to verify and negotiate repair estimates and validate parts authenticity. * Managing claims in accordance with policy terms and conditions and any relevant legislation and legal principals. * Making informed evaluations of damage and quantum to timely establish and maintain accurate claim reserves. * Identifying and reporting internally on claims of significance to the business, including large loss reporting requirements. * Abiding by Chubb’s Best Practice Guidelines and Claim Handling Guidelines. * Building strong relationships with brokers and customers to promote confidence and trust in Chubb’s claims service. * Effectively controlling the work product and expense of outside vendors. * Clearly identifying potential fraud risk and subrogation opportunities and notifying the relevant teams.   * Promptly and properly documenting all developments in the claims system. * Exercising good judgement in reaching final claim resolution by evaluating nature of loss, damage, coverage and applicable limits. * Seeking technical assistance for claims exceeding delegated authority. * Maintaining an active diary and monitoring it to ensure timely file development and resolution.  * Effectively negotiating compromise settlements where appropriate. * Communicating effectively with the Claim Department, Customer Services, Underwriting, brokers, insureds, third parties and their legal representatives. * Adhering to the General Insurance Code of Practice and Chubb’s obligations under its AFSL, as it applies to Claims Handling as a Financial Service. * Complying with the Insurance Contracts Act and all other relevant statutory rules and regulations. * Performing any other duties as required by the Claims Manager and Team Leader, which may include assisting other claims departments.  * Taking and being accountable for all practical measures to ensure that the workplace is safe and without risk to health
