Summary: This position is primarily responsible for the support and execution of motor and atmospheric product manufacturing efforts. Critical qualities for success in this position include mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, flexibility, and reliability. This position is located in the Tyngsborough, MA facility. This position will be relocated to the future Persimmon Technologies facility in Bedford, MA following facility transition in Q4 2025.
Reports to: Manager of Manufacturing Operations – Atmospheric Products
Direct Reports: None

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Work within all stated Safety requirements within the facility
  • Exceptional attention to detail with focus on zero defect
  • Ability to perform repetitive activities with consistent quality for long durations
  • Follows exact processes of record
  • Ability to provide feedback for possible process improvements
  • Excellent fine and gross motor skills
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Obtain certification to IPC/WHMAA620 thru inhouse training and testing
  • Understanding of LEAN/CI principles
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Can work in an environment which uses magnets and lasers in the daily activity
  • Will operate in a small team environment where flexibility/agility and cooperation are crucial

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Electrical/Electronic assembly

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work is sedentary in nature, but may require standing, walking, grasping, and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required

  • Operation of electro/mechanical systems including winding machine, epoxy dispensing system, laser marker and milling machine as instructed including setups
  • Delicate management of wire leads
  • Soldering of terminals
  • Mechanical assembly and adhesion of magnets to rotor core
  • Marking, packaging and labeling of product
  • Use of gauging, fixtures and tooling as required
  • Operate specialty test fixtures
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform inprocess inspection to ensure assembly quality
  • Collect data as required
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
