Job Title: Mechanic (Temporary Cover)
Location: Gledrid Industrial Estate, Chirk, Wrexham
Duration: Approximately 2 months (with potential to stay on)
Start Date: ASAP

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a mechanic
• Comfortable working on the floor without a ramp
• Must have own tools (specialist equipment provided)
• Willing to get stuck in and put in a solid shift
• Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
• Available to work Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm
• Open to overtime and occasional Saturdays

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on mechanic to join our team temporarily while one of our current team members recovers from surgery. You’ll be working alongside another mechanic to maintain and service our fleet of 35 vehicles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out general maintenance and servicing of company vehicles
• Respond to breakdowns and attend roadside call-outs
• Work on vehicles without a ramp — all jobs are floor-based
• Use provided specialist equipment and PPE
• Collaborate with the team to ensure fleet reliability
• Refer larger jobs (e.g. engine changes) to local garages when needed
