About the role

EuroCars Road and Track is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Mornington, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every vehicle that leaves our workshop meets our exacting quality standards. This role is essential to our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our valued customers and maintaining our reputation as a leading automotive service provider.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and technical knowledge
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing and fluid top-ups
• Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems and brake assemblies
• Perform wheel alignments, balancing and tyre repairs using specialised equipment
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair requirements, timelines and costs

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in automotive mechanics or equivalent practical experience of at least 3-5 years
• Current or eligible for a driver's licence
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and workshop machinery
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Physical fitness and ability to work in varied positions for extended periods
• Experience with European vehicles is highly desirable
• Certificate III in Automotive Technology or higher qualification preferred

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday – no weekend work
• Servicing, repairs, and diagnostics across a wide range of vehicles (including 4WDs)
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues

You'll work independently and as part of a small team, taking ownership of your work and delivering high-quality service.

What We're Looking For

• Solid experience as an automotive mechanic
• Minimum 3-4 years of automotive mechanic experience
• Strong diagnostic ability and understanding of modern vehicle systems
• Willing to work across all makes and models (including 4WDs)
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Good communicator who can talk to customers in clear, simple terms
• Team player who looks out for others
• Strong electrical diagnosis abilities.
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification required at application
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship required
• Current full driver's licence required
