MOTOR MECHANIC – PRESTONS NSW

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a well-established and a recognised leader in the automotive sector, specialising in the wholesale, retail, and online distribution of wheels and tyres. With over 15 years in the market, this business has served thousands of customers and are continually striving to become the number one destination for wheels and tyres in Australia.
While wheels and tyres remain the primary product offering, this business also delivers a wide range of mechanical services, including suspension upgrades, wheel alignments, brake repairs, general mechanical repairs, upper control arm installations, and routine vehicle servicing.
They now seek a well experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join the busy and fast-paced workshop. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service.
Tenure: The role is full-time and ongoing.
Salary: An attractive salary package is offered in the range $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum.
Location: Prestons VIC

Responsibilities
  • Provide first rate servicing and repairs to a wide range of passenger and other light vehicles.
  • Identify mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes and brake inspections, as well as more complex repairs like engine rebuilds, transmission overhauls and replacing worn or damaged parts.
  • Test and adjust mechanical parts to ensure proper performance following repairs.
  • Inspect vehicles to issue road worthiness certificates or provide detailed reports on work required to achieve road worthiness.
  • Adhere to safety standards, following safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper disposal of hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
