JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic/MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on vehicles to ensure they meet the required safety and environmental standards, and for repair and servicing work on a variety of vehicles.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in vehicle repair and servicing
• Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Experience in heavy lifting as part of vehicle maintenance tasks.
• A valid MOT Tester licence is preferred, but training can b provided.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.

  Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

• Carry out repair and servicing work as required
• Identify and diagnose mechanical faults using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with legal requirements and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and test results.
• Communicate effectively with customers
• Ensure the workshop is kept clean and organised at all times.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment.
