About the role

We're looking for a motor mechanic with a solid background in general servicing and repairs, a commitment to quality work and a "can do" attitude. You will have a proven track record, be an experienced, hands-on technician and be able to work without supervision on a wide range of vehicles. Strong diagnostic skills will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

  • Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and detailed service inspections, in order to ensure vehicle reliability, fuel efficiency and to ensure compliance with pollution regulations and vehicle manufacture's service schedules
  • Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
  • Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
  • Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
  • Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers and electronic diagnostic and scan tool equipment
  • Displaying a high level of quality workmanship
  • Maintaining a high level of work safe practices

About you

  • Experienced fully qualified Motor Mechanic
  • Solid background in general servicing and repairs
  • Proven track record as an experienced, hands-on technician
  • Able to work without supervision on a wide range of vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic skills
