QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a qualified mechanic (apprentices with strong experience may be considered)
  • Solid knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and diagnostics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles
  • Perform routine servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs
  • Troubleshoot engine, transmission, brake, steering, and suspension issues
  • Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment accurately
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within timeframes
  • Maintain accurate records of services and repairs carried out
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain workshop professionalism
