  • Trade qualified in Panel Beating or Spray painting
  • Broad knowledge of Insurance policies, claims and assessing procedures.
  • Proficient in customer service delivery & negotiation skills.
  • Able to travel intra and interstate to assist our customers for major Catastrophe events when required
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Sound level of computer literacy.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Relevant Trade qualification.

Responsibilities

The Motor Technical Assessor Quality, Standards and Events is responsible for accurately auditing and recording the quality and accuracy of work done by: Motor Assessors and Motor Body Repairers.
This includes reviewing assessments to ensure adherence to assessing processes and practices while balancing customer satisfaction and business needs.
Additionally, the role entails post authorisation review of assessments and repaired motor vehicles, to ensure cost effective repairs considering quality, cost and timeliness outcomes.

During Catastrophic Events, The Motor Technical Assessor Quality, Standards and Events will travel to the required state / area affected and assess the damage / loss incurred to determine the appropriate cost and repair method in accordance with the A&G Assessing methodology.

  • Accurately assess vehicle damage to determine cost effective and safe repairs using the correct
  • OEM repair methods.
  • Undertaking vehicle assessments in line with underwriting terms & conditions & claims protocols.
  • Writing accurate assessment reports, negotiating correct scope & costs for vehicle repairs via Partner or Customer’s own repairers.
  • Provide assessing assistance in volume Catastrophe events - Flood, Hail or storm damage
  • Manage rectifications in accordance with the Industry Code of Conduct & engage PSM in the appropriate recovery of costs.
  • Provide accurate audit inputs to identify areas of improvement and cost leakage
  • Conduct quality control inspections as required to ensure compliance with repair methods
  • Review of completed assessments confirming repair methodology, costs for compliance
  • Minimizing business risks with compliance reviews and feedback
  • Transfer of skills and knowledge
  • Working as part of a National team of assessors to problem solve customer repair issues
  • Providing excellent key to key customer repair times to increase customer advocacy.
  • Provide excellent service to our customers both on the phone and in person.
