POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a full-time, versatile, enthusiastic, and neatly presented Motor Transport Driver Supervisor, responsible for supporting the Coulport Driver Team Leader in the day-to-day management of the Driving Team at RNAD Coulport. This will include driving both PSV and LGV vehicles completing a variety of different driving tasks both internal and external to Coulport and Faslane bases. The successful candidate will be expected to work to a changeable shift pattern depending upon the demands of the customer and will have the professional capability to multi-task and react to changing opereational requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Receive work requests and plan transport taskings in accordance with JSP 800.
  • React to daily demands and changes replanning work as required to meet the FMSP contractual outputs.
  • Managing the team on behalf of the Coulport Team Leader during periods of absence.
  • Managing the F/MT 600 database.
  • Managing monthly vehicle paperwork including authorising journeys as required.
  • Managing Mitie real estate to comply with required tests and defect reporting.
  • Act as the Driver Training Lead for Mitie at Coulport working with the Driver Trainers to ensure specialist capabilities are maintained.
  • Complete all task and reporting paperwork in accordance with legal requirements and operating procedures.
  • Ensure vehicles are well maintained and action defects in accordance with Driver Standing Orders.
  • Clean vehicles, ensuring all vehicles utilised by the department and establishment are maintained in a presentable condition.
  • Maintain a pro-active approach to Health & Safety ensuring that there are no reportable accidents/incidents to yourself or others in the vicinity of your areas of responsibility that are attributable to negligence.
  • Actively promote a safe working culture and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures, processes, and the law.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as required.
