Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and assembling various vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
Responsibilities - Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. - Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre rotations. - Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as required. - Assemble vehicle parts according to schematics and manufacturer specifications. - Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. - Assist in heavy lifting tasks when required to move equipment or vehicles around the workshop.
Qualifications - Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role in the automotive industry. - Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems. - Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. - Familiarity with reading schematics and technical manuals for vehicle assembly and repair. - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude. - Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed in a workshop environment. - A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
