OVERVIEW

We are seeking a qualified/experienced Vehicle Technician to join our well established family business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various technical skills required for the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
This role is essential in ensuring that our local community is able to stay on the road safely, we do this by providing excellent service to our customers, which is core to our family business values.

SKILLS

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to Investigate & Diagnose various vehicle systems.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret Mechanical & Technical Information effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the repair process.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during maintenance tasks.
  • Welding skills are advantageous but not essential for this role.
  • Knowledge on Cambelt & Clutch changes, on various Makes & Models
  • Flexibility within the role and the order of which repairs will be carried out.
  • Working as part of the Team to complete scheduled Repairs
  • MOT License would be an Advantage, but not Essential for the role.
  • Ability to meet Manufacture Advised repair times where applicable.

  • Conduct inspections on vehicles to identify faults and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as Servicing, Repairs & Diagnostics.
  • Utilise Our latest diagnostic equipment to investigate onboard vehicle systems and diagnose problems accurately.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for repairs and assembly tasks, while maintaining high levels of Health & Safety within the workplace.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide exceptional communication with our dedicated Reception Team regarding vehicle issues and repair options.
  • Assist with heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
