As our Vehicle Technician/Mechanic you will be responsible for the service and routine maintenance and preparation of all kinds of vehicles ensuring all work is carried out to manufacturer standards: Identifying faults, making improvements, keeping accurate records and meeting demanding quality and safety standards. We are looking for a highly motivated experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic. Key Responsibilities: You will ensure that work is always to the highest standard as you seek to achieve consistently high customer satisfaction Carry out testing and diagnostic work, interpreting repair order instructions and technical information Discuss any work requiring specialist skills with the Manager/Supervisor Carry out all service and repair work to Company and Manufacturer standards, making effective use of time and resources. Accurately report vehicle faults and work carried out, for ease of reference by service reception. Main duties include : MOT’s, servicing, diagnostics, engine repairs, clutches,tyres Train and mentor apprentices when required Maintain work area, tool and equipment in a safe and clean condition To ensure consistently high levels of quality and workmanship is adhered to at all times To assist colleagues in their work roles and share best practice with the team Ensure all job cards are completed to a high standard To liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are beyond the work specified. Be able to diagnose and detect any additional faults. MOT certificate is essential Diagnostic experience is strong advantage Person Specification Excellent communication skills is essential Previous experience in a similar role Technical Skills Time Served Quality focused and target driven Problem solving and decision making skills Customer oriented A drivers licence is essential for this role Must have own tools Full Time/Part time
