We are currently seeking a dedicated and adaptable Motor Vehicle Tutor to join our team in our alternative provision settings. You’ll be working with incredible young people on a 1-2-1 basis, who need to progress through educational in a different way. They will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and may sometimes display behaviours that require nurturing and understanding. Our learners thrive with people who are patient, enthusiastic, and genuinely committed to helping young people overcome barriers and unlock their potential.
Although the skills, knowledge and experience are essential, the role is primarily a tutoring position and the ability to link practical skills to accredited outcomes is a priority.

• Deliver engaging and hands-on motor vehicle training sessions
• Support learners in developing practical skills and industry knowledge
• Build positive and supportive relationships to inspire and motivate
• Work collaboratively within a supportive, learner-focused team
• Adapt to timetable changes and support in other curriculum areas when needed
• Develop a high quality curriculum in the mechanics and engineering sector in line with learner and company requirements.
• Develop a mobile mechanics unit with students to be used with those not able to get to site and to develop real world experience.
• Develop a static mechanics unit in the Ipswich area.
• Also work in our existing garage facility in Newmarket.
