WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Motorsports Special Events Coordinator, you’ll work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where no two weekends are the same. This role plays a key part in shaping the fan and partner experience—developing unique events, activating sponsors, creating live content, and helping grow Summit Point’s visibility and audience beyond the racetrack. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Identify, pursue, and manage sponsorship opportunities, including billboards, event sponsorships, and promotional partnerships Act as a point of contact for motorsports-related social media, including content planning and posting, partner coordination, audience engagement, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to promote events through digital channels and outreach efforts. Plan, coordinate, and execute special events beyond track rentals and in-house driving programs, working with partners, vendors, exhibitors, and community organizations. Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, site planning, staffing coordination, permitting, and on-site execution Collaborate with internal teams to ensure special events integrate smoothly alongside track rentals and facility operations Track event performance, sponsorship results, and engagement metrics, providing insights and recommendations to the Director of Motorsports Represent Summit Point Motorsports professionally in all external communications and on-site interactions Support the Motorsports Department in creating an engaging atmosphere that enhances the client and spectator experience. Additional duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a non-exempt, part-time, on-site position Schedule will include some weekends, evenings, and event-based hours as required. WORK CONDITIONS During events, the Motorsports Special Events Coordinator is expected to work on-site in active outdoor and indoor event settings, providing hands-on support and oversight. These environments may include racetrack facilities, parking and paddock areas, vendor and spectator spaces, and other event locations across the property. The role requires the ability to be active during events, which may involve: Walking or standing for extended periods Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or wind Exposure to noise, moving vehicles, and other event-related hazards Working weekends, evenings, and irregular hours aligned with event schedules Appropriate safety protocols and training will be provided, and employees are expected to follow all safety guidelines while performing on-site duties. Requirements Job Requirements and Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Familiarity with small to large scale events and enthusiast community cultures Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities Excellent communication skills and comfort working with partners, vendors, sponsors, and the public Familiarity with sponsorships, partnerships, and promotional collaborations, and an understanding of how they support events and community engagement Creative mindset with a passion for event planning, community engagement, and motorsports Ability to work weekends and occasional evenings based on event schedules Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn new applications Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Valid Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with motorsports culture Experience working with sponsorships, partnerships, or promotional collaborations Experience coordinating or planning events Social media management or content creation experience
