Multimatic CFT engineers and manufactures carbon composite components for top-echelon motorsports, the automotive industry and beyond. We are currently recruiting a Mould and Pattern Finishing Technician. This role plays a crucial part in the production of high-quality components, requiring excellent attention to detail and exacting standards to ensure MCFTs high standards are maintained.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

· Attention to detail with exacting standards.
· Excellent hand eye coordination to ensure standards are maintained.

· Preparing and finishing patterns and moulds by hand using various grades of abrasive paper to obtain the required surface finish.
· Polishing metallic mould tools by hand to a high standard using various grades of abrasive paper followed by the appropriate metallic polish.
· Deburring of machined component parts using files and other deburring tools.
· Tapping threads to depth on machined component parts.
· Reaming and sizing of holes on both Patterns and Moulds.
· Build assemblies to ensure fit and function of multiple parts to form either a complete pattern or multi piece metallic mould tool.
· Cutting of stock materials for use in the machine shop to include metallics and epoxy board.
· Bonding multiple pre-cut epoxy boards as per drawing provided by machine shop.
