Mould Design Manager Specialist

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will lead innovation by supporting the excellent performance of our External Mould Factory (EMF) in the Mould Design (MD) team as a Manager - Specialist, driving global excellence and ensuring top-tier quality in every design. More specifically, you will:

• Drive improvements and development of base mould designs performed at our suppliers.
• Define and drive process optimization initiatives in the business area (lead time, cost, quality i.e.).
• Overall accountable for specific deliveries and quality for Mould Designs on the external platform, ensuring that scope for the single mould design solution is carried out.
• 3D/2D review approver on Mould designs from the external supplier platform.
• Ensure contractors have the right capabilities and means to deliver constructions according to external standards.
• Ensure takeaways from design errors are documented and updated by external constructors.
• Ensure that quality data is documented, and feedback provided to external contractors using Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM) and Classification (Standard library).
• Ensure robust design in right quality with strong focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Design for Assembly (DFA) in relations to moulds.
• Contribute to the development of the standards for the future moulds based on the company’s strategy.
• Deliver specialist support to the production, mould qualification and other collaboration departments and thus support the overall productivity agenda.

• Solid experience in plastic injection mould design.
• Solid understanding and experience with CAD systems and 3D design (preferably NX), Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Validated capability to analyze and resolve both team performance and mould design issues, consistently delivering effective technical solutions
