Do you love the smell of fresh loam in the morning? We seek stellar individuals to join our Bike Park Trail Crew this summer. Bike Park Trail Crew offers the unique opportunity to work outdoors and subject bike park riders to a safe, positive, and enjoyable mountain biking experience. Daily activities include but are not limited to maintaining bike trails and structures; and building new trails, structures and features to acceptable industry and company standards. Working with the Bike Park Trail Crew, you will be part of a very like-minded team of skilled, knowledgeable trail builders and equipment operators who love to ride and want to share the love of mountain biking with others. Compensation Information: $21.10 per hour
Physical Requirement: Heavy, work activities involve handling loads more than 20 kg. Work environment is predominately outdoors.

SKILLS YOU BRING WITH YOU:

  • High level of physical fitness, free from injuries.
  • Self-motivated and able to work productively with limited supervision under the direction of the Mountain Bike Park Coordinator and Director of Outside Operations.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions safely.
  • Be experienced with the use of hand tools, chain saws, and safety procedures for working with these tools
  • Experience with trail building, ditching, water bars, and signage pertaining to mountain bike trails
  • Basic understanding of Risk Management for Mountain Biking
  • Strong mountain bike riding skills is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain existing trails, structures and features in manner acceptable by industry and Company standards.
  • Build new trails, structures and features to a standard that is acceptable by industry and Company.
  • Ensure proper signage is appropriately placed prior to opening and maintained according to industry and company standards.
  • Proper utilization of all safety equipment required in the performance of daily activities.
  • Follow the occupational health and safety regulations as laid out.
  • Follow the developed Company Standard Operating Guidelines and Procedures as written.
