Description Job Title Mt. Team Habitat Assistant Location Blanchard, Michigan Reports to Mt. Team Habitat Manager - Taxidermy Summary This position is responsible for helping the Mountain Crew build off-site and on-site habitat scenes for taxidermy mounts. This position is responsible for moving and constructing materials, cold jointing, painting rockwork, and plugging in plants as directed. This position is responsible for assisting or leading the installation of taxidermy work on a mountain at off-site locations, cleaning trophies in a trophy room at off-site locations, and assist with delivering customer’s trophies to off-site locations when needed. Out of State travel is required. Essential Functions Work proactively and positively toward the goals of all departments Take direction from the Mt. Team Manager Assist in constructing appropriate habitat scenes for life size and other designated taxidermy projects. Assist in Mt. Team cleaning of animals in a customer’s trophy room. Assist in the installation of new taxidermy trophies for existing clients. Assist in gathering tools and supplies needed to complete the project. Assist in the delivery of finished taxidermy for our clients assisting our delivery department on route to installs, cleanings, or just as a separate delivery. Assist in all habitat department duties as instructed by Mt. Team/Habitat manager. Travel to job sites away from the WLG shop and stay in hotels for extended periods of time. Performs other relative duties assigned by supervisors or managers. Competencies · Self-leadership Skills · Communication Proficiency · Thoroughness · Creativity · Collaboration Skills Required Education and Experience · High School Diploma or G.E.D. · Proven High Producer with Excellent Quality · Clean Driving Record Preferred Education and Experience · 2+ Years Leadership Experience Chauffer’s license Physical Demands This job requires the ability to bend, stand, and lift. Must be able to stand for extensive periods of time. Lifting requirements are classified as Heavy Work exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and or 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Respirator and rubber gloves will be required when working with specific materials. (Medical determination and annual fit testing are required for respirator) Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This position is a full-time salary position. Standard weekly hours are Monday through Friday 7-3:30pm. Shifts may vary per management discretion. Occasional overtime will be required during busy season. Frequent travel is required.
Responsibilities
Assist the Mountain Crew in building habitat scenes for taxidermy mounts and perform cleaning and installation of taxidermy work. Travel to various job sites and assist with the delivery of finished taxidermy.
