Job Title: Part-Time Senior & Specialty Move/Relocation Coordinator
Location: The majority of our work takes place near Chapel Hill & Durham, NC, but local travel throughout the Triangle is required.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Part-Time Move Coordinator, you’ll play an essential, hands-on role in guiding clients through every phase of their relocation. This unique position offers the chance to work one-on-one with clients in their homes, providing compassionate support, meticulous organization, and ensuring they feel safe and understood at each step of their transition. Our client-driven schedule requires a flexible, reliable, and self-motivated individual who enjoys connecting with people and thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in project management, organization, customer service, or related fields preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with seniors preferred. Must demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including prolonged periods of walking, standing, and lifting objects (up to 40 pounds).
  • Capacity to navigate various environments, including homes, apartments, and senior living communities, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client focus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
Responsibilities

Client Support and On-Site Assistance:

  • Engage in warm, empathetic conversations with clients to understand their unique needs, preferences, and schedules.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with the full spectrum of services we offer, from decluttering and downsizing to packing, unpacking, move day oversight, organizing, and light staging.
  • Guide clients in creating functional and comfortable living spaces that feel like home.

Organization and Logistics:

  • Collaborate closely with clients on-site to develop personalized packing and unpacking plans, ensuring that every detail is tailored to their unique requirements and preferences.
  • Implement effective organization systems directly within the client’s home, prioritizing safety, functionality, and comfort.

Safety and Comfort:

  • Place the highest priority on client safety and ease throughout the process, addressing any needs or concerns that arise.
  • Adapt as needed to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for clients as they transition into their new homes.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Foster clear and open communication channels with clients, team members, and external partners, maintaining transparency and ensuring that everyone is informed and involved every step of the way.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating utility transfers and vendor services, helping to make every move as smooth as possible.
