Description
Analyze complex hardware and software systems to develop innovative, multi-functional solutions that meet vehicle cost, weight, labor, performance objectives, and customer expectations. Develop analytical models using free body diagrams and mathematical equations for electromechanical systems, performing simulations in MATLAB. Conduct Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) analyses. Define and cascade realistic, balanced targets and functional breakdowns from the system level to downstream stakeholders. Ensure the robust completion of the Robustness Checklist process and secure necessary signoffs to minimize failure risks and ensure part reliability. Apply root cause analysis, advanced problem-solving techniques, and statistical methods to identify and resolve issues. Collaborate with purchasing to identify cost-effective sourcing for system components. Utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) and Smart FMA AI, to enhance the development of Model-Based Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (MBFMA), improving speed and accuracy. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in engineering required 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field. Proven experience modeling automotive systems or integrating multiple systems into a vehicle. Experience in system architecture development, process definition, and requirements derived through structured engineering processes and trade studies. Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, practices, and tools. Master's degree preferred. Expertise in mechanisms, material properties, and manufacturability of DC motors, including their modeling and characterization. Proficiency in signal processing and analysis, control theory, and data acquisition systems. Hands-on experience with relevant tools such as SysML (MagicDraw), MATLAB, Simulink, LABVIEW, SIMSOLID, 3DX/Catia/TCe/FEDE, CAE (IPS), and JIRA. Demonstrate emotional resilience and ability to effectively negotiate cross-functional trade-offs.
Responsibilities
