Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experience Moving Coordinator for a new opportunity with our client in the High Point area. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual with Dispatching experience to coordinate and manage the daily operations of household goods moving crews. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the moving industry, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of DOT regulations. This role is critical to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant service delivery to customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in dispatching within the household goods moving industry
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance
  • Proven ability to manage and lead drivers and moving crews
  • Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with industry-specific software (e.g., MoveitPro, Vonigo, SmartMoving)
  • Familiarity with local and long-distance moving logistics

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers and moving crews for residential and commercial moves
  • Monitor job progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet customer expectations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, helpers, and customers during active jobs
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for dispatch and field operations
  • Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of driver logs, vehicle inspections, and job documentation
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth job execution
  • Handle last-minute changes, cancellations, and emergency situations with professionalism
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch efficiency and crew productivity
