Are you an experienced 5-ton truck driver with air brakes (Q endorsement) who takes pride in secure and efficient deliveries?

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver and Mover to join our moving team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving and packing/unpacking homeowner and business contents, and transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and experience working with customers. EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of verified experience driving a 5-ton truck with air brakes
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (no GDL) with a clean driver’s abstract (no suspensions or violations).
  • Air brake endorsement (Q endorsement) required.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50+ lbs safely. Previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus, including experience operating forklifts.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED)

  • Familiarity with office furniture moves and installations.
  • Own a basic set of hand tools

Responsibilities
  • Experience navigating Calgary and surrounding areas, including loading docks and tight delivery locations.
  • Strong knowledge of securing loads safely for transport. Loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials. Wrapping, padding, and securing items in a moving truck.
  • Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including moving products and operating forklifts.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
  • Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends as required).
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
