Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity Based out of Katikati, this role services the wider Bay of Plenty region, and we welcome applications from candidates living across the local area including Waihi, Katikati, Ōmokoroa, Whakamarama, and surrounding communities. Join a hardworking outdoor team helping maintain parks, reserves, and public spaces across the Bay of Plenty region. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating machinery, and taking pride in keeping local communities looking their best. You will be responsible for mowing and turf maintenance activities within the Downer BOP Greenspace team in accordance with Downer policies and client requirements. Training will be provided where required. Day-to-day tasks include: • Mowing and weed eating • Edge and vegetation control • Litter collection and general site presentation • Equipment operation and maintenance • Following scheduled runs and completing required documentation   Ngā pūkenga matua | Important Skills You’ll need to be physically fit, reliable, and happy working outdoors, along with the following: • Previous mowing, landscaping, farming or horticulture experience preferred • Full Class 1 driver’s licence essential – Class 2 is an advantage • Ability to complete time sheets and use handheld electronic devices • Confidence operating and maintaining machinery independently • A positive attitude and pride in delivering quality work • Reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused   Why you will enjoy working here | Ko te take ka parekareka e koe ki te mahi ki kōnei Downer is committed to delivering excellence by ensuring our people have the environment and support to succeed.
