MR Linac (MRL) Team Leader

We’re looking for MRL Team Leaders to join our new MRL service at The Harley Street Clinic, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain exemplary professional standards and quality assurance in all aspects of patient care.
  • Acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of MRI, understand MRI protocols and MR safety procedures that will ensure compliance of the radiotherapy department with national MRI safety regulations.
  • Be responsible for the day to day operations of the MRL. Ensuring accurate and safe administration of MRL radiotherapy treatments with accurate documentation of treatments in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Competent to assess images as part of the radiotherapy pathway.
  • Have a high level of knowledge of MRL treatment pathways and provide clinical leadership for the operation of MRL equipment in accordance with operational procedures and local rules, including having expert clinical judgment.
  • Maintain effective liaison with all appropriate staff to ensure the provision of a high-quality service and a smooth and efficient work flow through the department.
  • To comply with departmental local rules for radiation safety and Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Provides expert analytical and advanced problem-solving skills in image guidance

What you’ll bring:

  • DCR(T)/BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • Minimum three years qualified radiotherapy experience which must include a wide range of advanced radiotherapy techniques to include SABR.
  • Experience and good understanding of electronic patient management systems such as use of ARIA and or Mosaiq
