About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MR Truck Driver to join our home delivery and removals team.

The role involves JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guys home deliveries, including the delivery and installation of white goods and appliances, together with residential house-moving services.

This is a hands-on driver role. You will be responsible not only for driving but also for loading, unloading, installing eligible appliances, assembling/disassembling furniture and providing professional service inside customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities

JB Hi-Fi & The Good Guys Home Deliveries

• Complete scheduled residential deliveries of white goods, appliances, televisions and other products.
• Safely load, secure, transport and unload products.
• Work with an offsider to complete deliveries efficiently.
• Follow allocated routes, delivery windows and customer instructions.
• Complete proof of delivery and required documentation through delivery applications.
• Protect customers' products, flooring, walls, doorways and other property while completing deliveries.
• Remove packaging or old appliances where included in the allocated service.
• Maintain professional communication and presentation when attending customers' homes.

Appliance Installation

Where included in the delivery service and where the driver is appropriately trained/authorised:

• Washing machine installation and connection
• Clothes dryer installation and setup
• Refrigerator positioning and connection
• Dishwasher installation/connection
• WashTower/stacked washer-dryer positioning and installation
• Connecting appropriate water inlet and drain hoses
• Levelling and positioning appliances
• Basic product setup and operational checks
• Stacking compatible washers and dryers using approved manufacturer components
• Following manufacturer instructions and client installation procedures
• Identifying situations requiring a licensed trade and not undertaking electrical, plumbing or other regulated work unless appropriately licensed

House Moving & Furniture Services

• Drive MR removal trucks for residential relocation jobs.
• Load and unload furniture, appliances, boxes and household contents.
• Wrap and protect furniture appropriately.
• Secure loads using approved restraints.
• Assemble and disassemble furniture, including beds, tables, desks and other household furniture where appropriate.
• Safely handle bulky and heavy items.
• Navigate stairs, lifts, apartments and difficult-access properties.
• Use trolleys, dollies, blankets, straps and other moving equipment correctly.
• Assist customers with appropriate furniture positioning at the destination.

Essential Requirements

• Current Australian MR driver's licence or higher
• Proven MR truck-driving experience
• Previous JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, white-goods or last-mile home-delivery experience highly regarded
• Experience delivering and handling refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and similar appliances
• Appliance installation experience preferred
• Furniture removal and house-moving experience
• Experience with furniture assembly/disassembly
• Understanding of load restraint and safe manual handling
• Physically capable of safely handling heavy and bulky products
• Good driving history
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Ability to use mobile delivery and job-management applications
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable with early starts
• Ability to work effectively with an offsider
• Australian working rights

Ideal Candidate

We are particularly interested in drivers who already have experience with JB Hi-Fi/The Good Guys home-delivery operations and understand the complete delivery process—from loading the truck through to completing the delivery, installation, customer handover and proof of delivery.

You must be professional, safety-focused, physically capable and respectful when working inside customers' homes.
