Description

The MRF Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper sorting of materials on the conveyor are being removed and placed in corresponding containers. Reports To - Operations Manager Responsibilities * Inspect and sort materials according to size, type and condition * Keep work area and all surrounding areas clean * Report all unsafe work conditions or equipment issues immediately to supervisor * Attend and participate in safety meetings * Wear required personal protective equipment at all times * Perform other job duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications / Knowledge / Critical Skills * None required Physical Demands / Environmental Factors * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear * Requires working in dusty and noisy indoor and outdoor conditions * Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds * Requires working in a physical environment that will expose employee to extreme weather conditions * Requires working for long periods of time while standing * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
