Looking to begin your imaging career? UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a full-time MRI/CT Tech Assistant to support our MRI department on night shift. This role offers a steady schedule of four 10-hour shifts (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) and a great perk—on-site parking in the Presbyterian garage with a lease! Why This Role? As an MRI/CT Tech Assistant, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional patient care while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. You’ll support our certified technologists and make a real impact in the patient experience—every single shift. What You’ll Do: Greet patients, assist with paperwork, and answer scheduling or history questions Escort patients, provide dressing assistance, and conduct MRI screenings for safety Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and preparation for scans Establish IV access and prepare oral contrast under technologist direction Provide discharge instructions and patient care support during exams Help maintain exam rooms, equipment, and quality control procedures Support safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care every step of the way This is your chance to grow your skills, work alongside experts, and be part of a team that changes lives every day. High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one-year of previous healthcare experience required. Medical terminology and recent medical/imaging office experience preferred. IV insertion experience preferred.
