UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a full-time MRI/CT Tech Assistant to join our dynamic imaging team! This role is perfect for anyone looking to launch their career in medical imaging or gain hands-on experience while in school. You’ll work three 12-hour shifts (daylight/evening) with every other weekend and holiday coverage, giving you full-time experience with a balanced schedule. What You’ll Do Support our technologists and help keep the MRI and CT departments running smoothly by: Greeting and preparing patients upon arrival, assisting with paperwork and department flow. Escorting patients, helping them change, and ensuring their comfort and safety. Conducting MRI safety screenings and preparing patients for safe scanning. Assisting with lifting, positioning, padding, and aligning patients and equipment for imaging. Starting IVs for contrast administration and preparing oral contrast under technologist direction. Monitoring patients during exams as needed and providing discharge instructions afterward. Cleaning rooms, preparing equipment, and supporting daily and weekly quality control checks. Transporting patients and answering basic scheduling or procedure-related questions. Reporting any equipment issues and supporting technologists in daily operations. High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one-year of previous healthcare experience required. Medical terminology and recent medical/imaging office experience preferred. IV insertion experience preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 34 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
