Responsibilities for MRI technologist

  • Assist radiologists in exams and procedures to obtain a diagnosis or therapeutic procedure
  • Work in a team-oriented environment in the Diagnostic Imaging department
  • Operate MRI generating and related equipment to provide patient care and assist in diagnoses
  • Transfer images to PACS and verifies the action
  • Initiates intravenous access for the administration of contrast and/or radio pharmaceutical isotopes
  • Accurately provide diagnostic images and related functions
  • Perform procedures in a manner which allows patients to be comfortable
  • Work closely with the Radiologist
  • Work quickly and efficiently to keep patient flow up to standard
  • Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Qualifications for MRI technologist

  • A minimum of 1 year of MR experience in high volume environments required
  • Technical proficiency operating GE 1.5T or other designated vendor scanning equipment
  • Proficiency running advanced MR studies independently
  • ARRT (R) or ARRT (R)(MR) and state license
  • Ability to work at several locations
  • A minimum of 1 year of MR experience in high volume environments preferred

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,100.00 - $2,200.00 per week
