Get to Know Your Team: Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care. Responsibilities Performs quality MRI scans and radiology while applying radiation and magnetic field safety measures. Must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and performing safe, timely, and accurate procedures. Must remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills. Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking. Collect patient data & documents procedure Adhere to compliance, quality, and safety measures within MRI Qualifications Job Requirements: Current national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.). Must hold or obtain current licensure as RT(R)(MR) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one year of hire. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree. One (1) year of previous MRI experience.
Responsibilities
The MRI Technologist performs quality MRI scans and radiology while ensuring safety measures are followed. They must maintain accuracy in procedures and be sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of patients.
