Shift Details: Monday through Thursday 1p-6p with rotational Saturdays (8a to 1:30p)  - 20 hours per week       Job Description   Operates Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Collaborates with clinicians to ensure appropriateness of studies. Maintains required documentation.  Job Responsibility   Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure. Ensures no metal objects accompany patient into procedure room. Prepares patient for exam by placing and positioning patient on exam table within the gantry. Enters patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from a requisition completed by the Radiologist to include anatomical area of interest. Performs MRI procedures to include: abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, extremities, sub-periosteal implant planning, radiation therapy treatment planning, biopsies etc. Recognizes and promptly reports patient’s motor abnormalities; including, fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the Radiologist. Performs minor repairs and frequent calibration checks and adjusts equipment, when necessary. Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification   Vocational or Technical school Diploma, required. Current license to practice as a Radiology Technologist in New York State, required.
